IMMIGRANT AID

Most of the immigrants in the area hail from Peru or the former Soviet bloc, and the Bnei Menashe tribe of Burma. The immigrants face a multitude of problems on arrival – language, earning a living , housing, socialization and integration as well as conversion issues. We at Hasdei Avot assist these immigrants through the maze of procedures to find the housing, jobs etc. We even help and advise with inevitable personal problems such as inter-generational issues and even with marital problems. Thank G-d we have been quite successful in assisting many immigrant families acclimatize to their new home. In fact many immigrants, after spending some time in the country, actually become volunteers with Hasdei Avot!
