KIMCHA D'PISCHA
Pesach is one of those festivals where expenses are high.
Many families find it hard to cope, so our organization is
busy months in advance in collecting donations and food
products for the season. We ask packaging warehouses,
factories, vineyards and businessmen what they can spare for
the festival, and with the information in hand we start
planning. Just before Pesach we arrange for trucks to
collect the donations and these are sorted and packaged at
our facility. Each year we are able to give kimcha d'pischa
assistance to upwards of 500 families
each getting four boxes containing the following:
- Fruit and vegetables
- Meat and fish
- Dry foods and sweets
- Cleaning supplies.
In addition families also receive vouchers for clothing and shoes in honor of the festival.
